Urban Garbage Management

In urban landfills, even the middle of the city, hundreds of thousands of tons of domestic waste are accumulated annually. Degraded, they poison air, soil, groundwater and thus become a serious threat to the environment and to humans. That is why the Day Games are becoming efficient, wasteless and, above all, environmentally sound technologies for industrial garbage processing. These include modern waste incinerators capable of dissolving and reclaiming domestic waste and of concomitantly producing thermal and electrical energy, thereby compensating the high cost of processing itself.

Worldwide domestic processing and recycling waste becomes an increasingly malicious issue. This is mainly the case for large densely populated cities where millions of cubic metres of all possible debris are accumulated annually. Smoke dumps, a bunch of dumped junks, overcrowded garbage cans - in Russia, many urban dwellers are familiar with these paintings. It has been estimated that only 140 million cubic metres of solid household waste are accumulated each year, and by 2005 this figure will increase to 190 million. The problem of the destruction of such a vast mass of debris can certainly be classified as environmental, on the other hand, it is most closely related to complex technical and economic issues.

What is it?

The environmental situation in cities with high population density, whether harmful or not, determines in many ways the state of the sanitation system against non-industrial waste. These are mainly solid household wastes or TBTs, as their specialists call them. That's how all the trash that is stored daily in our homes and apartments and travels from the garbage pipeline to the palace container to the landfill. This includes wastes that accompany the activities of commercial and manufacturing firms using public services, garden and street debris, leas and some others.
