Volgograd Debris Processing
In the Volgograd Region Administration, a concession agreement was signed on public utilities, recycling, disposal (storage) of solid household waste.
According to the press service of the Volgograd Region, the Chief of Administration of Anatoly Brovco, Chairman of the Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, Oleg Gorelov, Deputy Director of the OO Waste Management-Wolgograd, Alexei Voevodin, and the representative of Investor OO Leider, Deputy Director of Investment, Pavel Beschapov, participated in the ceremony.
This is Russia ' s first solid waste management agreement (BWT). As part of its implementation, two solid household waste sites will be built in the Volgograd region in 2011-2012, with modern landfills and facilities recycling TBO. Investment will be 1,200 million roubles.
Every year, our region has over a million tons of domestic and industrial waste, many of which are overcrowded. This is one of the most pressing issues in the Volgograd region.
" The control of super modern enterprises that will contribute to solving serious environmental problems - the main objective of the agreement " - underlined by the Chairman of the Committee on Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Volgograd Region of Oleg Gorelov.
Polygones are planned to be located in the Svetloyar and Citizen regions. They will be built in accordance with environmental legislation. The ceremony noted that the project was another example of the public-private partnership programme.
The Regional Administration provides OO Waste Management Volgograd with two plots of land for 30 hectares each for 40 years to be leased for polygones to the administration of the region. During this period, the firm will sort solid household waste and process the part to be processed. The rest will be compressed and posted on the polygons. The area of the garbage disposal complex will be at least three hectares. Investments will be entirely private, there will be no budget component. "
