Processing technology and equipment

Complexation of the polymer processing line depends on the polymer type as well as on the form of final product. In addition, we will understand the line at which the sorted polymer waste is submerged and granules/aglomerate or any other estructic profiles, articles are produced on the outlet.

MAIN TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESS

The process of processing in general consists of the following stages:

1. The fragmentation. Sorted material without ferro-magnetic switches on the canvae enters the drab or shredder. Drillings are intended for the disposal of plastics waste in a powder for further processing.

The most frequent use of knives is 0.5 to 9 mm at the outlet. Insulation is one of the most important steps in the preparation of waste for processing, as it determines the volumetric density and particle size of the product received.

2. The material washing. The washing is done in several stages using special moisture mixtures.

3. Dehydration and drying of material. After the washing, the glued waste shall be taken to the centrifuge for pressure to humidity of 10 to 15 per cent. The final drying shall be carried out in the drying unit. For drying, different types of dryers are used: cavities, ribbons, carpets, tilting layers, swivels.

There are installations that combine the functions of waste washing and drying.

4. Aglomeration and expedition. Agglomeration and granulation are final stages of waste processing. The agglomeration is a process of speculation of fragmented pieces in small balloons of irregular shape. Depending on the quality and productivity of the equipment, the size of the agglomerate is between 0.5 and 5 mm in diameter. In general, a larger fraction is produced in more productive equipment. The smaller the agglomerate is, the more it is used as a secondary grading phase. Secondary agglomerate is used in the production of films and in the production of articles by means of pressurization.
